About PGM Recycling.
A South African recycler of e-waste and catalytic converters. We buy direct from the people who have the material, for our own account, and pay the price that comes from being the source.
We buy direct, for our own account.
PGM Recycling, trading name of JSC CARDS PTY LTD, buys end-of-life electronics and used catalytic converters from households, workshops, companies and scrapyards across South Africa. The name comes from the platinum-group metals, platinum, palladium and rhodium, that give a catalytic converter its value.
We are not a broker. We buy the material ourselves, for our own account, and test and weigh it ourselves. That is what lets us pay the top price, collect for free and deduct nothing: there is no one in the middle to pay.
How we work
- In the open. Converters are identified and priced in front of the seller, with XRF testing where needed. E-waste is weighed in front of the seller. Nothing happens behind a door.
- On the spot. An invoice is issued and payment is made immediately, cash or EFT.
- Anywhere. Our own agents and vehicles collect from anywhere in South Africa, at no cost to the seller.
- Lawfully. We are registered with the South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator (SADPMR). Sellers are identified as the law requires, and nothing we collect goes to landfill.

Based in Johannesburg, collecting nationwide.
